What I Am Looking For
I am looking for a practicing Sunni Muslim who is honest, trustworthy, and respectful; someone who does not smoke, drink, braid hair, wear a neck chain, listen to music, go to clubs, or engage in any haram activities. He should value family and live according to Islamic principles.
Preferably, he is educated, kind, patient, and caring, with a good sense of humor. I do not accept smoking, drinking, clubbing, vulgar or abusive language, or any behavior that goes against Islamic manners. I’m not comfortable with a man who listens to music, braids his hair, wears neck chains, or engages in haram activities. I prefer someone who follows Qur'an and Sunnah, protects his deen, sincere, responsible, and serious about marriage. Avoids haram habits, values modesty and family life, and is kind-hearted. I do not want someone who is racist, discriminatory, or overly dependent on his mother (“mummy’s boy”).It’s important for a spouse to honor and respect their parents, Husband should take responsibility as a mature man and make decisions with wisdom and independence. A man who always says, “Let me ask my mother first,” or puts her opinion above justice and his marital duties, may not be ready for leadership in a home. We all value our parents, but balance and fairness are essential in Islam.
